John Lewis is anticipating another sunny summer as it launches the latest incarnation of its central London rooftop terrace – Roof Fest London
Capitalising on our love of a good festival, John Lewis & Partners is championing live entertainment, music, comedy, street food, cocktails and more up on its popular rooftop terrace this summer.
Roof Fest London at The Gardening Society, set high above the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street, launches on 19 April 2019, just in time for the Easter weekend.
Oxford Street’s first festival in the sky, the immersive world of boho chic will host an eclectic range of acts and activities, from energetic live musical performances to extravagant dining experiences, masterclasses and cinema screenings.
Throughout the summer season, there’ll be headline performances from DJs, artists and acoustic musicians on the Caravan stage (yes, it’s an actual caravan!), served up alongside Filipino food from Bong Bongs Manila Kanteen (formerly BBQ Dreamz), and summer cocktails from Background Bars.
Roof Fest London’s curated summer programme will see DJ sets taking over the roof every Friday and live entertainment on Saturday and Sunday – all perfect for a pre-party before London’s key summer dates like Pride and Carnival.
Groups of up to 10 can book one of the three intimate dens – there’s the cosy Boho Den for four people, the Garden Den with room for six and the Cherry Blossom Den with room for 10.
You’ll need to book to enjoy the Filipino food at Bong Bongs Manila Kanteen, but john Lewis has introduced ‘walk-in Wednesdays’ this year for festival goers who don’t like to commit.
Open Monday to Saturday 12pm-10pm and Sunday 12pm-9pm.
