They’ve got a cafe/studio/listening lounge in King’s Cross and a headphone shop in Mayfair, and now the Spiritland team has opened their largest location yet at the Royal Festival Hall. The new all-day (and late night, thanks to a 2am licence) spot will naturally have a big focus on sound – the space has been designed to offer a great listening experience in terms of its architecture and the Living Voice sound system, and it looks the part too with velvet curtains, leather booths and modernist details.
Just like in King’s Cross, this Spiritland will also play host to a range of dinner talks, salons, and residencies, with guest DJs spinning their record collections from Thursdays – Saturdays. And in terms of the food, you can expect grill dishes and fresh seafood from the oyster bar, as well as sharing plates like carrot m’hanncha with spinach, pine nuts and raisin and oregano dressing; sweet and sour pork with octopus, pork belly, coconut and pomelo; crab and prawns with jalapeno and creme fraiche; and kimchi rosti with pulled pork slaw and pickled chillies.
Sounds like this is going to be one popular spot on the Southbank.
