It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we’re living for the women out there defiantly displaying their mastectomy scars and telling their stories, as well as the brands raising money for the cause.

The latest designer to throw her support behind the charity is Stella McCartney. Stella has designed a mastectomy bra for breast cancer survivors and will give the first 1,000 out free.

The cause is close to Stella’s heart after her mother, Linda, died from the disease in 1998.

The Louise Listening Bra is a post double mastectomy compression bra in light rose super-soft cotton with delicate feminine lace detail.

It’s been designed to provide technical support and essential comfort and comes complete with a front zip fastening for ease and a wide underband and deep sides offering support and compression during the post mastectomy healing process.

Stella isn’t the first designer to design a mastectomy bra. H&M recently launched a bra collection called “Close To My Heart,” designed for “those fighting against breast cancer around the world.”

The collection is made up of sports bras, bralettes and soft-cup bras, and was inspired by an H&M employee who had survived breast cancer and couldn’t find cute, yet still functional undergarments.

So inspiring.
