Pippa Middleton has given birth to a healthy baby boy.
Kate Middleton’s younger sister welcomed her first child with her husband, James Matthews, on Monday at 1.58pm at the Lindo Wing, the same hospital that Kate gave birth in.
Pippa was last seen before giving birth at Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s wedding over the weekend, where she looked radiant in an emerald green dress.
“I was lucky to pass the 12-week scan without suffering from morning sickness. This being my first pregnancy, I had so many questions I felt were still unanswered.
“I wanted to know things like — would I strain if I served in tennis? Are all strokes of swimming safe?
“Can I still do a normal yoga class if I avoided certain positions? Could I still work my abs?
“It’s particularly hard in the early months when you don’t really want to share the news with everyone, not even your class instructor.
“I’ve noticed my body change and weight increase — but through effective exercise and sports I feel that it’s being strengthened to support a healthy pregnancy, birth and recovery.”
She did, however, admit that she gave up running, revealing: “I stopped running — not because I read it was unsafe, just because I rather liked the idea of giving my body (and growing baby) a rest from pavement pounding.”
It’s been a year of babies for the extended Middleton family, with James’s brother, Spencer Matthews, welcoming a baby with Vogue Williams earlier this year.
Pippa and James tied the knot on May 20 at St. Mark’s Church in Englefield. The pair met in 2006 on the Caribbean island of St. Barts but only became official in 2014.
Congratulations to the happy couple! We can’t wait to find out what the little boy’s name is…
