When she’s not wearing her mandatory all-black legal robes, international human rights lawyer Amal Clooney can be found hitting the courtroom — or the U.N. General Assembly, as it so happened this week — in a rainbow of workwear staples.
Yellow? Done. Purple? No problemo. Jackie Kennedy-pink? Nailed it.
But there is a color she returns to time and time again: Red. Case in point, here she is earlier this week, stepping out in New York.
She styled the red sheath dress with neutral accessories, including a nude Hermes Birkin and matching suede pumps. The red/khaki color combo has become something of a workwear formula for the mom to 16-month-old twins Ella and Alexander. See the evidence:
Though it seems there’s no hue on the color wheel that Amal won’t touch, she has been known to go monotone every now and again. But no color doesn’t mean boring — earlier this week, for example, George Clooney’s better half was out and about in New York City wearing an ’80s-inspired oversize polka dot print that would make Julia Roberts a la Pretty Woman jealous.
